SPORT EQUIPMENT FROM `MODERNSPORT` PROJECT

In a part of Kralj Petar Prvi school, Pasi Poljana, Palilula, until the end of this year and on the surface of 4,400m2 will be constructed and built many sport terrains for volleyball, handball and basketball including tennis court, trim trails, long jump, athletics track. The investment is realized thanks to project activities of the Municipality within the programme of cross border cooperation Bulgaria – Serbia, support of IPP fund and European Union. This project titled Modernsport is realized in the partnership with the Municipality of Botevgrad in Bulgaria. 218,481 Euros have been granted to Palilula Municipality for the realization of these project activities. That was the occasion the PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality with project manager Miodrag Petrovic will visit Kralj Petar Prvi school and donate to Robert Dzunic, headmaster of the school the sport equipment.

GABROVACKA STREET UNDER THE INSPECTION OF COMMUNAL INSPECTION

Communal inspection of the Administration of Palilula Municipality is, according to the citizens appeal from Gabrovacka street, went out to the terrain on June 7 2012 to check the pilling of big quantity of garbage. According to the words of Snezana Zivkovic communal inspector of Palilula Municipality, in part of the building of former Angropromet in Gabrovacka street bb, next to Bus round point, at the parcel of cadastre number 9999, are found the dead animals together with big quantity of garbage and terrible smell. For the fact that the safety of this population is jeopardized especially of children who use the surrounding yards, urgently is directed demand for the prompt intervention to the Administration office for the estate and inspection affairs of the City of Nis and Public enterprise Mediana.

LOCAL ACTIVITY – GLOBAL CONTRIBUTION

More than 12, 000 volunteers of the City of Nis, members of non governmental organizations, representatives of local organs of government, public communal enterprises, educations institutions, Serbian Army, socially responsible companies, participated on June 9 in the activities of Great cleaning of Serbia. On more than 70 locations of five Nis municipalities 22,000 garbage bags were collected of various types, emphasized the coordinator of the activities together with the help of mechanization of public communal enterprises Mediana and Gorica from wild depo places were removed even 1,200 cubic meters of garbage.

FILM ENCOURAGES DEVELOPMENT OF ECO TOURISM

EKOPOLIS FEST-ninth International review of environmental and archaeological film was opened in the hall of the Nis Cultural Centre on June 4 2012 to mark the celebration of the City of Nis, "St. Constantine and Helen" and the World Environment Day. About the Festival and the importance of this event, spoke Boban Mikic, member of Palilula Municipal Council, Ruza Helać from Vojvodina green initiative and Dragan Vidojković, the author of EKOpolis network. Lovers of the seventh art and environment, according to Dragan Vidojković, artistic director of the Festival, will see until June 9, twenty documentary films from Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece-Cyprus, Spain, Montenegro and Serbia. At the festival which will be held under the motto: OUR PLACE, OUR PLANET, OUR LIABILITY, within the environmental program will be promoted and production of Vojvodina green initiatives and Television B92.
